European Innovation Council Info Day: Work Programme 2024 and EIC Accelerator Challenges

Two online events, organized by the European Innovation Council (EIC), are tailored for prospective applicants eager to explore the vast opportunities presented in the Work Programme 2024 (on Jan 15, 2024) and to highlight the EIC Accelerator Challenges (on Jan 16, 2024).

On January 15, 2024 (full-day online event, 09:30 – 17:00 CET), the Information Day will shed light on the prospective funding opportunities and showcase the notable successes achieved under previous work programmes. Renowned speakers from the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) of the European Commission, and the European Investment Bank (EIB) will grace the virtual stage.

Key highlights of the event will include an in-depth overview of three primary funding schemes provided by the EIC, each designed to catalyze innovation in unique ways:

1. EIC Pathfinder: unveiling support for advanced research focusing on breakthrough or game-changing technologies.
2. EIC Transition: offering opportunities to transform research results into tangible innovation, fostering a seamless transition from ideas to impactful solutions.
3. EIC Accelerator: tailored for individual companies, this scheme aims to propel the development and scaling up of breakthrough innovations, addressing challenges with high risk and high impact.

On Tuesday 16 January 2024, a half-day online Info Day (8:45 – 13:15 CET) will be dedicated to the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator Challenges under the EIC Work Programme 2024.

Representatives of the European Commission (from the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) and the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT)) will present the new Challenges for 2024 under the EIC Accelerator scheme and reply to the questions received from participants.
