To enhance the assessment of food quality and safety, an upcoming online course will focus on the application of metagenomic approaches in food systems. The course, organized by the University of Turin within the SUS-MIRRI project, is scheduled for February 26-27, 2024. It aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of metagenomics and its tools for food analysis.

The program kicks off with an introduction to metagenomics in food systems, setting the stage for a deeper exploration of tools and techniques during the first session from 14:00 to 16:00. The following day, participants will engage in hands-on case studies, focusing on the analysis of amplicon sequencing data from 9:00 to 12:00 and on biostatistical analysis of the data from 14:00 to 16:00.

Registration for the course is now open, providing a chance for individuals to broaden their knowledge and skills in this critical field.
