The European Commission will present an update on the FOOD 2030 process transitioning towards sustainable, resilient and inclusive food systems for the benefit of the environment and economy. Food 2030 is the EU’s research and innovation policy to transform food systems and ensure everyone has enough affordable, nutritious food to lead a healthy life. The ambition is to achieve a resilient food system that is fit for the future. Food systems need to also deliver co-benefits for people’s health, our climate, planet and communities. Food 2030 provides the policy framework to accelerate this transition within safe planetary boundaries, in line with, and supports, the goals of the European Green Deal, Farm to Fork strategy and bioeconomy strategy. The Food 2030 conference will take place in Brussels and online from 4 to 5 December 2023, registrations for in-person and online participation will open in mid-September.

On June 13 2023 the FS4EU coordinator Veronica Lattanzio will participate in the EITFood-supported initiative “Insight Academy“, organised by the Scientific and Technological Research Institution of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) MAM Life Sciences.
Veronica Lattanzio will present the European Food Safety System (FSS) in Europe and the FS4EU platform as a collector of useful resources and a facilitator of the dialogue within the FSS.
