EU partnership FutureFoodS co-funded call for transnational research projects: Pre-announcement

FutureFoodS is an innovative European partnership focused on transforming Europe’s food production and consumption towards more sustainable and resilient systems. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, promoting circular economy models, and embedding sustainability at every level, FutureFoodS seeks to reduce the environmental impact of food production, enhance consumer health, ensure food safety, and the economic resilience of the entire food chain. Its commitment to innovation and collaboration drives the creation of solutions that pave the way for a sustainable and resilient future for European food systems.

The partnership unites leading experts, research institutions, businesses, and policymakers to address the pressing challenges of modern food systems, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and food security.

FutureFoodS is going to launch the first co-funded call for transnational research projects, by offering funding for innovative projects that contribute to one of the following topics:

• Topic 1: The way towards sustainable and resilient food systems
• Topic 2: New foods–Fostering innovations in food design, processing and supply via demand and supply reorientation
• Topic 3: Empowering sustainable food choices– Enabling environments and dietary shifts
