Horizon Europe, the Framework Programme financing research and innovation from this year until the 2027, has been just launched, presenting interesting opportunities for researchers, companies, NGOs and more.

Indeed, a “piece” of Horizon Europe, the Cluster 6, is completely dedicated to the achievement of the Farm to Fork strategy objectives, the protection and restoration of ecosystems, the development of the bioeconomy and much more!

The call for funding – which will close on the 6th of October, will be presented on the 7-8 of July, during an Information Day organised by the European Commission. Close to it, on the 9th of July, companies, universities, NGOs and all the other actors interested in them have the opportunity to meet and discuss online potential collaborations in a brokerage event (registrations are open until the 6th of July).

Crispy cricket appetizers? 🦗🎄 Or larva powder gingerbread man? 🍪 ⛄Ok, we might have to wait a while before insects become part of traditional dishes served at holiday season. But it is now possible❗ In recent years, the European Commission has authorised 3 insects on the food market: yellow mealworm larva, migratory locusts and house crickets. But only after a #SafetyAssessment performed by the European Food Safety Authority. So yes, those insects are safe to eat! Next Christmas maybe?🎄If there is anything your want to know about insects or other #novelfood, just #AskTheExpert ⁉️👉 Share your questions in the comments or in our survey at ow.ly/o7jO50MawGH ...
